If so, the Design Assistant vacancy here at Harding could be a perfect challenge About the role: Due to sustained growth, we are recruiting for a Design Assistant to join the Buying & Merchandising team. You will support and assist with Design administration to deliver Logo ranges that exceed the expectations of our Cruise Line partners and offer a support function. Based in Avonmouth on a hybrid working basis – 2/3 days per week. Compensation – competitive salary, bonus scheme, pension, 4 x life assurance, healthcare, 25 days leave annually (including Christmas shutdown) What you will be doing: Trend research – assisting in research and keeping up to date with key trends within design, colour, and materials for both apparel and merchandise Creating graphic artworks in line with project briefs Organisation of artwork including amending and filing Arranging samples and lab dips for development and approval Communicating with suppliers and helping to send design packs, artworks, and approvals Presenting both internally and externally Note-taking during meetings when required About you: Understanding of the apparel and merchandise Product Development process High standard PC skills in programs such as Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word Excellent communication skills and presentation skills Able to manage own workload working to a critical path and strict deadlines, being adaptable towards change, opportunities, and project tasks Design Qualification at degree level preferrable Must have an existing right of eligibility to work in the UK Key Attributes – trust, collaboration, respect, passion, drive, resilience About us: Harding is leading the way in innovative onboard cruise retailing, working closely with our cruise line partners and brand partners to ‘make every cruise better’.
