Job Description
WSP’s Development team provides sustainable infrastructure solutions from planning through to full implementation. Clients include private and public sector organisations for Highway, Public Realm, Sewerage, SUDS, Building Drainage, Earthworks, Flood Protection and Utilities Coordination/Diversion projects across the UK.
As a Senior Member of the Utilities Team, you will lead technical utilities engagements, manage project delivery, and drive innovation in utility design and implementation.
Responsibilities
* Lead utility projects from concept through detailed design.
* Coordinate multidisciplinary teams domestically and internationally.
* Act as senior point of contact for clients and internal stakeholders.
* Drive business growth through client relationship development.
* Mentor junior staff and uphold professional reputation.
* Apply commercial awareness and efficient problem‑solving across projects.
* Flexible working from UK offices (base office flexible).
Qualifications
* Chartered Engineer status or working towards it.
* Civil Engineering degree or equivalent qualification.
* Experience delivering utility connections, diversions and infrastructure strategies in the UK.
* Working knowledge of Electricity, Gas, Water, Telecommunications networks.
* Experience with Multi‑Utility / iDNO / ICP and commercial risk/opportunities.
* Ability to compute utility demand for developments.
* Proven team leadership and multi‑project management.
* Excellent communication and report delivery.
* Experience directing BIM teams (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit).
* Strong client relationship development.
* UK Security Check (SC) clearance required.
