JOB TITLE: General Manager
REPORTS TO: Area Manager
LIAISES WITH: Supervisors, staff members, Titanic staff
SALARY: £29,000- £34,000 depending on experience
Bod cafe bars are on the lookout for an experienced General Manager to join our team
1. PURPOSE OF THE JOB
* To ensure the café lounge is ready for business and operating to its full potential on a daily basis.
* Manage and drive the team to maximise sales and deliver exceptional customer service.
* To ensure that the business continues to achieve company objectives.
2. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
* Profitability - Maximise sales and deliver high levels of guest satisfaction.
* Quality - Ensure correct preparations are made for customer needs whilst adhering to Titanic Brand standards.
* Staff - Control staff presentation, daily performance, absence & holidays.
* Stock - Maintain secure and cost-effective levels of stock for the bar and café.
* Health and Safety - Ensure compliance with health & safety requirements and the provision of a safe working environment.
* Personal License – You must hold a valid Personal License.
3. RESPONSIBILITIES
* Take responsibility for the day to day control of the café bar and ensure that high standards of customer service are achieved at all times.
* Ensure agreed standards for food and drink are delivered on every occasion.
* Support the supervisors & staff to maximise sales, being fully aware of all the café bar facilities and special promotions.
* In accordance with company guidelines, deal with any complaints/issues raised in a courteous and efficient manner.
* Ensure all staff arrive on duty at the correct time and in the correct uniforms, recording any lateness/absence
* Lead and develop staff to maintain and improve high standards of service
* Ensure compliance with health and safety requirements and the provision of a safe working environment.
* Ensure the bar is stocked efficiently taking note of Titanic branded products
* Report maintenance faults promptly.
* Compose rotas and timesheets in line with business forecasts and wage budgets.
* Oversee cash handling, and ensure that the daily cash reports are completed.
* Continually take on board customer feedback, and act upon accordingly.
* To recruit, train and develop an effective team ensuring the full utilisation of systems to required standards.
* Carry out any other duties outside the normal routine within the overall scope of the position.
4. EXPERIENCE
* Minimum of 2 years management experience
* Sales Driven – Proven record in increasing sales
