About the role:
The Product Manager, Content Accessibility, is responsible for ensuring our content meets the needs of users with disabilities. This involves orchestrating activities aligned with Elsevier's business and technology strategies, focusing on books and related processes and systems.
Responsibilities:
* Implement accessibility enhancements to content products, initially focusing on books.
* Project manage relevant implementations and act as a Subject Matter Expert.
* Coordinate user testing, write test cases, and secure resources.
* Contribute to high-level roadmap and development planning.
* Identify and prioritize changes in content pipelines.
* Collaborate with vendors to define outcomes and control costs.
* Define clear requirements for new accessibility features.
* Engage with stakeholders and build strong relationships.
Requirements:
* University degree or equivalent experience.
* Project and product management skills.
* Experience in academic publishing, preferably within a book’s workflow environment.
* Awareness of accessibility issues faced by people with disabilities.
* Ability to manage multiple tasks, projects, and priorities.
* Proven track record of improving customer satisfaction and commercial impact.
* Thorough product development knowledge, including business case development and content planning.
