We are recruiting for an Accounts Assistant to support the Finance Director at a well-established automotive business based in Solihull.
This is a new role created to support the Finance Director.
This is an excellent temp-to-perm opportunity for someone with solid finance experience who is organised, detail-oriented, and professional with a strong foundation in day to day and month end practices that include, invoicing, chasing receivables (all round purchase ledger responsibilities) month end payroll. You'll be working in a busy, friendly environment where accuracy and confidentiality are paramount.
The Role:
Supporting the Finance Director with a range of accounting and administrative duties, including:
Using Sage and Excel to maintain accurate financial records
Purchase ledger and sales ledger management
Processing monthly payroll
Assisting with day-to-day accounting tasks and reconciliations
Supporting general administration within the finance department
Liaising with suppliers, customers, and internal stakeholders as required
What The successful candidate will demonstrate:
Good working knowledge of Sage and Excel (essential)
Previous experience in an Accounts Assistant or similar finance role
Strong knowledge of purchase and sales ledger processes
Payroll experience (advantageous but not essential)
Process Orientated approach
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Strong communication skills written and verbal
Highly organised, structured with a methodical, self-motivated, and professional approach
Discreet and trustworthy when handling sensitive financial and payroll information
What's on Offer:
£14 per hour (negotiable within reason for the right candidate)

Office-based role in Solihull
Monday to Friday, 9:00am 5:00pm (no weekends)
