Job Description
We are looking for a bright, personable, hardworking, detail-focused, and enthusiastic summer intern to work alongside our Event Manager at CarFest 2025. This is a voluntary role suitable for a student seeking a placement, as part of their dissertation in Event Management or a similar course.
Beginning in May, you will attend our Monthly CarFest Meetings (from 2-4pm on the third Tuesday of each month). The hours will gradually increase as we approach CarFest in August. The schedule may include remote and onsite work, with full onsite commitment required in August at Laverstoke Park Farm.
May – 10 hrs
July – 35 hrs
During the event week (Monday 18th to Monday 25th August 2025), the successful candidate must work full days. This week will be intense, with long hours and high pressure, requiring energy, patience, and adaptability.
The primary role will be to assist in organizing our fun foodie workshops, which will serve approximately 8,000 participants over three days. You will gain experience in written communication, interpersonal skills, working with suppliers, budgeting, finding sponsors, spoken communication, negotiation, and networking.
Additionally, there is an option to work as our VIP Hospitality Coordinator in the hospitality area during CarFest. This paid role runs from Tuesday 19th to Monday 25th August 2025.
CarFest Management Ltd is the overall organizer, with a shared responsibility as the host. You will interact with CarFest management, sponsors, suppliers, and volunteers, providing a valuable opportunity to gain experience in event management.
Laverstoke Park Farm hosts CarFest and runs workshops as a donation to charities. Our budget is limited, but our ambitions are high—we aim to raise maximum funds for charity while ensuring a fun, family-friendly event.

* A designated mentor for support
* Meetings with your tutor (if a student)
* End-of-placement feedback
* Appropriate insurance coverage
* Fuel expenses paid
Pay Rate: Voluntary, with an option for paid VIP Host role during the festival
