Foundry Forge Operative Based in Halesowen Full time - 40 hours We are working with a leading engineering client in Halesowen, to recruit an experienced and professional foundry Forge operative, to work within their Heat Treatment Division. A foundry forge operative is a manufacturing professional who sets up, operates, and tends industrial machinery to shape, bend, flatten, or cut metal components using heat and high-pressure techniques like hammering or rolling. This role also require the use of overhead cranes and FLT's. Whats on offer for the Foundry Forge Operative: Competitive hourly rate up to £14.24 per hour Weekly and monthly bonus Additional bonus 4 day working week Monday - Thursday 0600 - 1600 working hours 28 days annual leave Duties of the Foundry Forge Operative: Operating machinery in the heat treatment area (chargers) Collect work from the forgings department to load into heat treatment. Operating the pendant and cab-controlled cranes within the machine shop. (All LOLER and associated training will be provided) Managing the logistics of the department by moving goods around using FLTs and the cranes. Loading and unloading of vehicles via forklift or crane General cleaning, tidying and removing any unwanted items from the department. Support with continuous improvement and 5s Work as a team to maximise productivity. Maintain a safe working environment and comply with the Companys H&S Policy.
