We are seeking experienced Senior Design Managers to join our expanding teams across the Midlands and South West. As a Senior Design Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of water infrastructure by leading and developing project teams, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment, working on impactful water projects, and partnering with top water clients across the UK & Ireland.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and develop project teams, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.
* Work on exciting water projects that have a significant impact on communities and the water sector as a whole.
* Partner with top water clients across the UK & Ireland, shaping the future of the industry.
* Design sustainable solutions that minimise environmental impact and maximise social benefits.
* Champion sustainable development, delivering infrastructure projects that adapt to climate change.
* Work across the project lifecycle in asset planning, strategy, concept design, outline design and detailed design.
* Identify innovative and sustainable solutions, collaborate with the client, plan technical delivery and lead the multidisciplinary team throughout the project.
* Work alongside the Project Manager to deliver best value and client service excellence and leverage Stantec’s world‑class expertise.
Qualifications & Experience
* Degree qualified (or equivalent) engineer, ideally chartered or a member of a relevant engineering institution (e.g., ICE). Support can be given to achieve chartership if required.
* Experience leading multidisciplinary teams within the engineering or utilities sectors, delivering expert design solutions to clients.
* A passion for solving engineering problems and the confidence to drive through challenging solutions.
