Clinical Administrator

We are offering an exciting opportunity for an experienced and enthusiastic person to support the Children & Young People's Mental Health Team. This post is based at Shawbrook House in Leyland.
The post is full time (37.5 hours) however we would consider 2 x part time (22.5 hours) working Monday - Friday. This is a permanent post within the team.
This is an exciting opportunity for enthusiastic and motivated individuals to join a community based mental health service and work as part of a multi-disciplinary team. This team includes psychological therapists, nurses, support time and recovery workers, social workers, occupational therapists and psychiatrists.
Main duties of the job
You must be able to provide efficient administrative support and have excellent IT, keyboard and data inputting skills. You will also require strong interpersonal skills, be able to demonstrate initiative and the ability to organise your workload effectively. The work is varied, interesting and demanding and candidates need to be organised, flexible and reliable. We are looking for people who possess the ability to meet the demands of the service, and also to be able to communicate with a wide range of people, including patients and health care professionals.

Lancashire & South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust provides a range of services including secondary mental health care across this area. Specialist provision comprises inpatient child and adolescent mental health services, perinatal mental health and forensic services including low and medium secure care.
The Trust also provides a range of physical health and well-being services in the community alongside a range of partners in the Lancashire, Cumbria and Sefton area.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* NVQ Level 3 in Customer Care or Business Administration, or equivalent experience
* RSA 3 or equivalent, ECDL or equivalent experience.
* Demonstrable commitment to continuous personal development.
Knowledge
* Awareness of issues in the Mental Health Network.
* Knowledge of a range of administrative procedures and practice.
Experience
* Previous experience as a Secretary/Administrator including diary management
* Previous experience of working in a fast moving, confidential, sensitive, pressurised deadline driven environment.
* Experience of supporting and minuting meetings.
