A Vacancy at Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust. We have a number of opportunities across the 3 inpatient Older Persons wards within Woodlands Hospital, for Health Care Support Workers who are passionate about caring for adults in their later life years and adults of a working age. We are keen to promote high quality services to the service users within our Inpatient Wards and fully embrace the Greater Manchester Mental Health Trust values within our ethos.
You will be expected to assist and support the patients under the guidance of qualified staff in order to promote wellbeing, physical health needs and support through to discharge. You will be supported by the team and manager and encouraged to develop your skills within the care environment.
Responsibilities include direct nursing care, clerical, cleaning and ancillary duties.
Post holders will be required to rotate between day and night shifts including weekends and Bank Holidays.
Qualifications
You need to have an NVQ level 3 in health and social care, a diploma in health and social care diploma or relevant experience to apply for this role. Knowledge of working within mental health is essential. Please note: This role is not eligible for sponsorship unless you meet criteria by temporary exemption from current changes to immigration rules put in force on 22/07/2025. Separate provisions are applied to workers who have been sponsored and held continuously Skilled Worker visa since prior to 04/04/2024.
