IT Support Technician
Location: Coatbridge
Salary: Up to £45,000 + Benefits
Contract: Full-time on-site
Are you passionate about technology and problem-solving? We’re looking for an experienced IT Technician to provide technical support, maintain IT infrastructure, and ensure systems run efficiently across the organisation.
About the Role
As an IT Technician, you will:
1. Deliver 1st & 2nd line support for hardware, software, and network issues.
2. Install, configure, and maintain Windows and Linux systems, printers, and peripherals.
3. Administer Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and network services.
4. Manage VMware vSphere and other virtualization technologies.
5. Troubleshoot PC hardware, perform repairs, and monitor system health.
6. Assist with IT security measures, backups, and disaster recovery.
7. Document technical issues and provide training to staff.
8. Support the implementation of the IT roadmap and ensure compliance with security policies.

9. Windows Server

14. Networking: Switching, routing, VLANs, DNS, DHCP
15. Firewalls, VPNs, VoIP technology

16. Patch management & vulnerability remediation
17. Antivirus solutions
18. Backup & disaster recovery
19. Knowledge of Cyber Essentials Plus
20. RAID configurations, NAS management
21. Microsoft Exchange (on-premise)
22. Experience with in-house and third-party software
23. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
