Job summary
Chew Medical Practice has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Practice Nurse to lead our team of nurses and healthcare assistants whilst at the same time working as part of the senior management team alongside the Partners.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will be clinically involved in all aspects of Primary Care nursing. Experience of chronic disease management, to include diabetes and/or respiratory, would be highly desirable. Alongside line managing the nursing team you would be part of the senior management team supporting the practice management in reviewing and delivery of clinical policies and procedures.

Job responsibilities
The post holder is an experienced nurse who, acting within their professional boundaries, will demonstrate safe clinical decision-making and expert care for patients within the practice. They will work collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary practice team to meet the needs of the patients, supporting the delivery of policy and procedures and providing nurse leadership.
As the managing lead for the nursing team, the post holder is accountable for nursing service delivery. They will lead and manage all the nursing resource, working closely with the clinical lead nurse, practice management and GP partners to deliver the practice priorities.

1. Registered Nurse (Registered with the Nursing & Midwifery Council) Evidence of recent Continuing Professional Development Working to ensure fitness to practice as per nurse revalidation program

2. Experience of chronic disease management to include diabetes and/or respiratory, would be highly desirable.
