Qualified Science Teacher – Secondary School – Oldham
Location: Oldham, Greater Manchester
Start Date: September 2025
Hours: Full-Time (Monday to Friday)
Contract: Long-term (potential for permanent)
Salary: £165 - £210 per day (Dependent on Experience)

GSL Education Manchester is excited to be working with a high-achieving secondary school in Oldham to recruit a Qualified Science Teacher for a full-time position starting September 2025. This is an excellent opportunity to join a forward-thinking Science department renowned for academic excellence and innovative teaching.
About the Role:
You’ll be teaching Science across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the opportunity to specialise in Biology, Chemistry, or Physics depending on your expertise. The role involves delivering engaging and practical lessons, planning schemes of work, and assessing student progress across a broad range of abilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Teach General Science across KS3 and KS4, with subject specialism at KS4
Plan and deliver dynamic lessons aligned with the National Curriculum
Promote scientific enquiry through practical experiments and investigations
Assess and support student progress, providing constructive feedback
Contribute to extracurricular Science initiatives and STEM activities
What We’re Looking For:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent UK teaching qualification
Experience teaching Science in a UK secondary school
Strong subject knowledge in Biology, Chemistry, or Physics
Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
A creative and reflective approach to teaching and learning
