Up to £63,000 Dependent on experience along with a welcome bonus of up to £5,000
Exciting and rewarding role in a busy practice
We are looking for a Veterinary Surgeon with a surgical bias to join our friendly team here at Island Veterinary Associates. The role will include a mixture of consultations and operations in a busy small animal-only first-opinion clinic. The candidate would preferably be able to work in sole charge, but this is not essential.
We would offer support to those looking to start a certificate in surgery or imaging as we have a strong experienced team who are able to support this. The practice has a big client base along with a variety of cases, from basic surgical cases up to more complicated orthopaedics.
Flexible approach, offering work-life balance
We are open to receiving applications from full-time and part-time candidates. We also welcome those looking for a more flexible working pattern to fit around busy lifestyles and family commitments. Whether you are looking for 14 or 40 hours a week we would love to hear from you. There will be a requirement to work a Saturday on a rota basis, which is once every 4 weeks. However, this is to carry out consultations and emergency cases. You will not be required to work any out of hours as this is covered by a nearby practice
A well-established client base with case continuity
The practice has the ability to run blood and urine samples in-house with our Idexx labortatory equipment as well as access to a Mylab X5 ultrasound machine. We have a dental machine and the ability to do surgery and have digital x-ray facilities. The practice is close to the countryside and cities such as Wolverhampton and Birmingham providing excellent transport links. We work closely with other branches within our group to allow internal referrals and advice to be gained as and when needed.
