We are seeking to recruit a Process Officer in our Council Tax Recovery Section
Contract type: 12 month Maternity Cover
Key tasks and responsibilities:
* Process documents for Council tax accounts\payers within Liberata operational model.
* Ensure accounts are amended at the earliest opportunity.
* Process requests for Single Person discounts, direct debits, change of address, discounts and exemptions in a timely manner.
* Process requests for statement of accounts, appeals and complaints.
* Process recovery administrative documents.
* Ensure requests for supporting evidence are clear and concise.
* Ensure information relating to customers for other service lines is provided at the earliest opportunity.
* Undertake tracing function for account payers\debtors.
* Undertake validation of revenues data and thru-puts.
* Ensure the Performance Management tool is completed accurately and weekly performance table provided to the Team Service Manager in a timely manner.
Essential Skills and Attributes:
* Educated to GCSE level or equivalent with minimum 5 grades A-C including English and Maths.
* Previous experience in a similar role.
* Experience\understanding in meeting targets and developing own performance.
* Competency in the use of various IT systems- NEC & NDMS, Mircosoft
* Council Tax billing / collection & recovery knowledge
* Good verbal and written communication skills
Security vetting and checks:
All successful candidates must meet the government’s Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS).
* External candidates: This includes a basic criminal record check (for unspent convictions) and an annual adverse finance check (for CCJs, IVAs, bankruptcies, Scottish decrees, or Administration Orders).
* Internal candidates: An annual adverse finance check will be required.
