Role description
Play a key role delivering tech sector mega-projects. You will be a key member of our team driving the electrical package delivery on one of our largest data centre construction projects.
You can be based either 100% in country, or there will be significant international travel to the Nordics (11/3 day rotation).
Role accountabilities
* Manage the electrical packages of hyperscale data centre construction projects, taking projects through pre-construction, construction, and close out/fit-up.
* Pre-construction: work with the client and general contractor to establish the Master Project Schedule and Master Project Budget; support contractor pre-qualification, bid solicitation, bid analysis and recommendations; support contract negotiations; assist the client and team in identifying, scoping, buying-out and scheduling of Owner-direct vendors and consultants.
* Construction: manage the General Contractor and directly contracted vendors on site; coordinate Value Engineering efforts; work with the Client’s commercial and PCG team to develop Budget Management and Tracking; liaise with the Client’s schedule management team for schedule monitoring, tracking and analysis.
* Close out / Fit-up: initiate close out process typically two to three months in advance; establish close out documentation requirements with the Client’s document controller; collect and track receipt of all close out documents (warranties, as-builts, O&M manuals, etc.); assist with city/authority final inspections and occupancy; manage Owner-direct vendors and consultants.
Qualifications & Experience
* An in-depth understanding of large-scale technical projects and construction techniques.
* Ability to manage technical disciplines.
* Experience on Data Centre new build and refurbishment projects, preferably hyperscale builds.
* Ability to commit to significant international travel.
