Salary and Compensation
Competitive starting salary of £30,100 – £34,000 per year. 20% target bonus, plus payment for one additional Saturday per month, for total on‑target earnings up to £39,000.
Description
Reporting to: Service Delivery Field Manager
Hours: Full‑time, Monday to Saturday, 45 hours per week, 7:30 am – 5:30 pm. One Saturday per month paid as overtime.
Job purpose: Install fibre connections into customer premises, ensuring first‑time installation, delivering outstanding customer service, and updating relevant systems promptly throughout the day. You may also be asked to complete other departmental tasks as needed.
Key Responsibilities
* Primarily work on customer installations.
* Maintain the highest standard of customer service during installations.
* Manage issued tools and vehicle assignment per company policy.
* Complete assigned tasks on time and manage day‑to‑day jobs.
* Maintain H&S compliance.
* Work individually and as part of a team to achieve targets and KPIs.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
* Experience in a similar role, working on or on behalf of the Openreach Network.
* Ability to conduct risk assessment and hazard identification, with a strong emphasis on Health and Safety practices.
* Demonstrable experience and a proven track record working in a networking engineering environment (preferred).
* Excellent organisational skills.
* Clear and concise communication abilities.
* Physical fitness for manual handling tasks.
* Ability to foster excellent working relationships within your team, with your manager, and with other teams, with an excellent customer service attitude.
* A proactive approach to improving efficiencies and working smarter.
Requirements
* Must hold a full UK driving licence for a minimum of 12 months.
* SA001, SA002, S7, S8 or equivalent (desirable).
* IPAF 1b (desirable).
* NRSWA unit 2 (minimum) desirable.
* SMART AWARDS preferable.
* Telecommunications experience or transferable skills.
