I am looking for a fire door inspector to work on behalf of a leading housing association in the Sunderland area working in a repairs and Maintenance team whilst working closely with the Compliance Manager.
As a fire door inspector in the Repairs and Maintenance Team you will carry out minor repairs as identified from the inspections and report all findings including remedial works due or carried out to the compliance manager.
The fire door inspector will receive:
£20 P/H
Long run of work
37 hours per week.The successful candidate will be expected:
To complete annual and quarterly fire door inspections across the group's housing stock (Fire door knowledge specific training provided)
To carry out general multi-maintenance door repairs to occupied, void properties and communal areas.
To ensure appropriate parts and materials are available for jobs.
Be competent in the use of handheld IT systems
To carry out works in an efficient and timely manner.
Liaise with designated Repairs Manager or Supervisor regarding the status of any and all work.
Liaise and interface with other trades as required.
Completion of all necessary documents related to the position
The Group operate an Emergency Out of Hours Service, which you may be required to work on a rota basis as and when required.
You will need:
A full UK driving licence
Must have FDIS or equivalent qualification to allow full fire door inspections to be undertaken.
The understanding of fire doors and a sound working knowledge of elements of building construction, components, materials, building trades and applicable building regulations.
