An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Paralegal or Newly Qualified Solicitor to join a well-established and supportive law firm within their Medical Negligence team.

The Role
You will act as a fee earner, supporting clients through medical negligence claims while delivering a professional and efficient legal service. This is a varied role involving client interaction, case management, legal drafting, and research.
Key Responsibilities
1. Taking client instructions via telephone and in person
2. Managing new enquiries and preparing initial documentation
3. Conducting risk assessments, due diligence, and conflict checks
4. Maintaining accurate case files and detailed records
5. Investigating claims, including obtaining and reviewing medical records
6. Preparing legal documentation including Letters of Claim and Witness Statements
7. Liaising with Counsel, experts, and third parties
8. Attending conferences and hearings where required
9. Carrying out legal research to support case progression
10. Keeping clients updated throughout the lifecycle of their claim
About You
11. Ideally 3+ years’ experience in medical negligence
12. Strong organisational and case management skills
13. Excellent written and verbal communication
14. High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
15. Confident working independently and as part of a team
16. Proactive, resilient, and client-focused approach
17. Good understanding of legal terminology and processes
