About the Role: Process Engineer
The Process Engineer position involves designing, optimising, and implementing advanced process and ventilation systems to support expansion into the waste and biogas industry.
This hands-on role combines process design, research and development, and practical engineering. It offers the opportunity to contribute to the development of new technologies and to enhance existing systems within an evolving environmental sector.
Key Responsibilities:
· Develop process solutions using the company's standardised engineering approach
· Interpret tenders and ensure technical alignment with equipment specifications
· Support sales and project teams with design, optimisation, and troubleshooting activities
· Lead and contribute to R&D initiatives focused on product and technology development
· Conduct feasibility studies, prototype testing, and performance analysis
· Provide technical leadership within multidisciplinary project teams
· Prepare technical documentation and deliver project updates
· Liaise with clients, suppliers, and internal stakeholders
· Ensure compliance with relevant safety, quality, and environmental standards
Requirements:
· Degree (BEng/MEng) in Chemical, Process, or Environmental Engineering, or a related discipline
· Proven experience in process engineering, ideally within utilities, environmental, or energy sectors
· Strong hands-on skills with experience in prototyping or testing
· Demonstrated interest in R&D and new technology development
· Experience in anaerobic digestion (AD) or water/wastewater treatment (advantageous)
· Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities
· CAD proficiency beneficial
What's Offered:
· Salary £50,000 - £60,000 per annum (depending on experience)
· Bonus up to 15%
· Holidays 22 days plus Bank Holidays (increasing with service to a maximum of 25)
