The Payroll Officer is responsible for managing the company's end to end weekly and monthly payroll process, ensuring accurate and timely payment of salaries and other forms of compensation to circa 500 employees. This role involves maintaining payroll records, processing payroll transactions, and ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations. The Payroll Officer also plays a critical role in resolving payroll discrepancies and responding to employee inquiries related to payroll. Responsibilities: Process timesheets once submitted by employees who have a deadline of 9am every Monday. Ensuring timely maintenance of the payroll, and own email inbox, and deal with accordingly, within the Payroll SLA's. Supporting with overflow calls from reception team, providing excellent customer service always, and dealing with queries immediately. Prepare senior payroll and ensure it is approved and processed by 12pm every Monday. Create and distribute chaser email for missing timesheets for all weekly and monthly paid employees across the group. Apply all mileage claims from mileage spreadsheet report for weekly and monthly paid employees to their timesheets by 5pm every Wednesday. Processing leavers: calculating all leaver payments including holiday accruement, PILON, training fees, fines or damages to be deducted in preparation to process their final pay. Inform Finance, IT and Reception of all leavers via email in their final week of employment. Technical skills: Extensive payroll experience (certified or qualified by experience) Extensive experience with SAGE Accounts and Payroll. Strong administration experience and organisational skills. Ability to meet deadlines and respond positively to pressure.
