Are you a passionate and experienced SENDCO ready to make a real impact in the lives of young people? We are seeking a dedicated Secondary PRU SENDCO to join a forward-thinking and supportive team in Chesterfield. This is a fantastic opportunity to take on a vital leadership role, supporting students with special educational needs and ensuring inclusive learning for all.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage SEND provision across the school
* Coordinate and monitor EHCPs and provision mapping
* Work collaboratively with teachers, support staff, and external agencies
* Support and train staff in best practices for inclusive education
* Ensure the school remains compliant with SEND legislation and statutory requirements
Requirements
* SENDCO qualification - this is essential
* Previous experience working in a similar SEND leadership role within a secondary school setting
* A strong understanding of current SEND legislation and best practice
* Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills
* A genuine passion for inclusion and improving outcomes for pupils with additional needs
