The role
As a Commercial Manager, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. you play a pivotal role in supporting one of our most significant long‑term programmes: the Monju project, an international partnership focused on delivering a world‑class sodium processing facility in the UK.
Day-to-day, you’ll be required to
1. Manage the end‑to‑end commercial lifecycle for a complex, multi‑phase project.
2. Oversee contract delivery, ensuring compliance with NEC methodologies and commercial best practice.
3. Lead supplier and contract management activities, including early warnings and change control.
4. Partner with project teams and joint venture colleagues to support decision-making and risk management.
5. Build strong, collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
This position is a 37‑hour‑per‑week role, based at our Warrington site. Hybrid working patterns are available. Bristol may be considered for the right candidate.
Essential experience of the Commercial Manager:
6. Experience managing contracts of medium to high complexity, value, or risk.
7. Strong understanding of end‑to‑end commercial lifecycle management.
8. Awareness of NEC contract methodologies.
9. Experience managing suppliers and engaging in collaborative commercial delivery.
10. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills in a project-driven environment.
