<div><h3>Research Delivery Nurse/AHP/Officer</h3><h3>Band 5</h3><p>Job overview:<br/>An exciting opportunity has arisen to join an established research delivery team based in Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. The post requires the successful applicant to support the delivery of a range of research studies that reflect the services provided by the Trust and its patient population.</p><p>The post-holder will be a Registered Nurse/Allied Health Professional (AHP) or hold a relevant academic qualification. They will be highly motivated, with excellent communication skills and the ability to work sensitively and professionally with research participants, families, colleagues and clinicians. Experience of delivering research is essential, with an understanding of good clinical practice and information governance and GDPR application to research. The successful applicant will also have some knowledge of how the Mental Health Act and Mental Capacity Act are applied in this role.</p><p>Contract: Full time 37.5 hrs per week, fixed term/secondment for 18 months with potential extension, salary £32,073–£39,043 per annum (pro‑rated for part time). Closing date: 28 June 2026.</p><h3>Main duties of the job</h3><ul><li>Contributing to the efficient and safe delivery of a balanced portfolio of research in the Trust and in other organisations as required, within time and target.</li><li>Liaising with relevant clinicians to facilitate research delivery within clinical areas, home settings and other organisations as required.</li><li>Identifying appropriate participants for NIHR Portfolio research running in Nottinghamshire Healthcare based on protocol and eligibility criteria.</li><li>Recruiting participants and receiving informed consent according to Good Clinical Practice (GCP).</li><li>Conducting required research activities within professional scope of practice and/or for which they have been appropriately trained.</li><li>Complying fully with Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, and national policies and regulations.</li><li>Providing leadership and mentorship for less experienced staff.</li></ul><h3>Person specification</h3><h3>Qualifications</h3><ul><li>Willingness to undertake training as required.</li><li>ICH Good Clinical Practice.</li><li>Clinical Registered Practitioner.</li></ul><h3>Values and Behaviours</h3><ul><li>Demonstrate values: Trust, Honesty, Respect, Compassion, Teamwork.</li><li>Commitment to Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) and related legislation.</li></ul><h3>Experience</h3><ul><li>Significant experience delivering research in a clinical setting.</li><li>Understanding of research processes.</li><li>Experience in research delivery.</li><li>Experience of working in an NHS environment with service user contact.</li><li>Experience in clinical assessments.</li></ul><h3>Knowledge</h3><ul><li>Knowledge of Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust mental health, dementia, community, and forensic health services/support networks.</li><li>Knowledge of Mental Health Act/Mental Capacity Act and their application in this role.</li><li>Understanding of the purpose and function of the NIHR Regional Delivery Network.</li></ul><h3>Skills</h3><ul><li>Excellent interpersonal and communication skills – verbal and written, including an ability to communicate in highly emotive settings.</li><li>Ability to interact effectively with people with communication difficulties or challenging behaviour.</li><li>Highly motivated, able to work autonomously and as part of a team.</li><li>Excellent organisational and documentation skills.</li><li>Ability to make sound decisions and manage projects.</li><li>Competence in conducting ECGs, vital signs observations and venepuncture.</li></ul><h3>Contractual Requirements</h3><ul><li>Ability to travel across Trust sites and patient homes.</li><li>A full UK driving licence and vehicle for business use is required; reasonable adjustments will be made for disabled individuals in line with the Equality Act 2010.</li></ul><h3>Additional Information</h3><p><b>Please note applicants will be required to pay for their DBS check.</b> Costs are deducted from salary following appointment. The cost of the DBS application is £26.40 (standard) or £54.40 (enhanced), this cost will be deducted from your salary over the first 2 months of employment.</p><p><b>You are encouraged to enrol for the DBS Update Service.
