The Role
This position sits within the manufacturing quality function and is responsible for verifying the accuracy and consistency of precision-engineered components produced both in-house and by external suppliers. The role plays a key part in maintaining high manufacturing standards by ensuring components meet specification before progressing through the production process.
You’ll work closely with production, engineering, and supply chain teams to support robust quality control and continuous improvement across operations.
This is an early morning shift.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
1. Carry out detailed inspections on machined components at various stages of production, including initial setups, final outputs, and parts sent for subcontract processing.
2. Confirm all components conform to technical drawings, specifications, and tolerance requirements.
3. Review and verify that the latest engineering revisions are being used, escalating discrepancies where necessary.
4. Perform routine in-process checks to ensure inspection records and operator documentation are completed accurately.
5. Support the management and upkeep of inspection tools and measurement equipment, ensuring calibration schedules are maintained.
