QA Auditor (Maternity Cover)
We are currently recruiting for a Quality Auditor who will be responsible for implementing, auditing, and continually improving the Quality Assurance System, providing technical support to the Production, Maintenance, and Hygiene teams. The role ensures that products are produced safely, meet customer quality standards, and comply with legislative requirements, with corrective actions taken to maintain specifications.
Responsibilities
* Auditing factory environment, processes, products, and records to verify compliance with standards and procedures, and identifying discrepancies with corrective action plans.
* Reporting factory technical status and non-compliance issues verbally and in writing, along with action plans.
* Monitoring product quality during various stages such as dispatch, online, and taste panels.
* Maintaining the Quality Assurance System, including process retrievability, hygiene specifications, cleaning effectiveness, stock management, and photographic standards.
* Auditing HACCP systems to ensure product safety, including policies for nuts and glass.
* Ensuring traceability of ingredients to finished products and customer deliveries.
* Performing critical tasks like thermal process validation, calibration, and temperature monitoring.
* Providing technical guidance and training to departments such as Production, Hygiene, and Engineering.
* Participating in problem-solving, project work, and environmental impact reduction initiatives.
* Performing other duties as required to fulfill the role's needs.

Desirable Criteria
* Knowledge of HACCP, BRC Standards, Food Legislation, and Food Hygiene.
* Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
* Advanced Diploma in Food Hygiene Management.
* Intermediate Certificate in Applied HACCP Principles.
* Experience with Ready to Eat high-risk foods.
