Impact Air Systems Ltd is expanding, and we’re looking for a technically strong Project Manager to join our engineering team in Leicester.
This is a key opportunity to take ownership of complex engineering projects within a market-leading business specialising in pneumatic material conveying, dust control, and recycling separation systems.
The Role
As Project Manager – Engineering Solutions, you will take responsibility for delivering bespoke air-handling and recycling system installations from initial design through to commissioning and handover.
You’ll play a vital role in coordinating technical design, procurement, fabrication, and installation activities — ensuring every project is completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and customer satisfaction.
Your role will involve:
• Managing full project lifecycles – from planning to client handover
• Conducting site surveys and producing general arrangement / fabrication drawings
• Specifying and ordering components and equipment
• Coordinating with suppliers on costs, lead times, and performance
• Monitoring budgets to maximise project profitability
• Organising and managing installation teams on-site
• Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards
• Overseeing logistics, delivery, commissioning, and final documentation
• Maintaining clear communication with clients, suppliers, and internal teams throughout
What We’re Looking For
You’ll bring a combination of technical engineering knowledge and strong project management capability, with the confidence to handle multiple concurrent projects.
Essential Requirements:
• HNC (or higher) in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
• Minimum 2 years’ experience using AutoCAD
• Strong understanding of mechanical and steelwork fabrication
• Excellent communication, organisation, and time management skills
• Proven ability to manage budgets and deadlines effectively
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Competent with Microsoft Office tools
• Knowledge of air system components (fans, filters, ducting, etc.)
Desirable:
• Experience in air system design
• Knowledge of RAMS (Risk Assessments and Method Statements)
