Are you an experienced Electrical Engineer with a passion for creating sustainable solutions? Join Stantec and help us tackle the urgent climate, environmental, and efficiency challenges facing our communities. This is an expression of interest ahead of AMP 8. We are open to speaking with potential Principal Electrical Engineers to join our team in the South West and Midlands. This role can be based out of our offices in Exeter, Bristol, Cardiff, Birmingham, Derby, or Redditch, where you will grow our reputation within the local community and Water Business, by providing EICA design services for a range of projects. As an experienced EICA Engineer, you will work in multidisciplinary teams and liaise with Project Managers, Design Managers, Design Engineers, clients, supply chain partners, contractors, and other stakeholders to achieve positive outcomes for the projects and community. You will be involved in projects from optioneering and concept design through to outline and detailed design, as well as feasibility studies, site surveys, and site investigations. We are excited by our growth prospects and this is a good opportunity to join an experienced and ambitious team who will provide you with plenty of opportunities and support for career progression. You will be an experienced Electrical Engineer with a Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related subject. Ideally, you will be Chartered or Incorporated with several years of experience and a background in EICA engineering design. You will be experienced in writing technical specifications, control philosophies, EICA schedules and drawings, reports, and be familiar with developing design solutions. You will be able to produce Single Line Diagrams, Block Cable Diagrams, Network Infrastructure Diagrams, and provide engineering input to other disciplines to enable development of multidisciplinary outputs such as General Arrangement Drawings, 3D models, and Process & Instrumentation Diagrams. An understanding of DSEAR and its requirements regarding EICA design and installation would be an advantage. Strong communication skills are essential, with the ability to deliver technical presentations to clients and other design engineers, and to participate in collaborative design discussions, including technical workshops, HAZOPs, and ALMs. Experience in the Water sector is an advantage, but we are also interested in candidates with experience in the energy, infrastructure, and environmental sectors. You will also be expected to act as a leader and mentor to more junior Engineers. The Stantec community unites more than 31,000 employees working in over 450 locations across 6 continents.
