Job Role: Accounts Assistant

Salary: 28k Negotiable
Aspion are recruiting for a dynamic and growing company based in Runcorn, committed to delivering high-quality products/services. They are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join their finance team and support their financial operations.
Responsibilities
* Purchase Ledger: Post supplier invoices and credit notes
* Purchase Ledger: Conduct supplier statement reconciliations regularly
* Purchase Ledger: Issue remittance advice to suppliers
* Purchase Ledger: Prepare fortnightly payment runs, posting to the bank for Director approval
* Post employee expenses with appropriate approvals
* Raise, post, and issue customer invoices and credit notes
* Conduct credit control activities to ensure timely collections
* Produce monthly sales reports for Directors
* Credit card reconciliation, including obtaining and posting invoices/receipts
* Post supplier payment runs to the cash book once authorised
* Allocate customer payments accurately
* Perform bank reconciliations
* Assist with balance sheet reconciliations
* Assist with the weekly cash flow forecast
* Maintain and update the Fixed Asset Register and post monthly depreciation amounts
* Post monthly prepayments and interest journals
* Support the yearly audit review process
* Management accounting
Qualifications
* AAT qualification or equivalent in Accounting/Finance preferred but not essential
* GCSEs or equivalent in Maths and English
* Monday to Friday 37.5 hours per week
