We are recruiting an IT Support Engineer – Modern Workplace on behalf of a well-established, Edinburgh-based organisation. This is an excellent opportunity to join a small, supportive IT team where you will provide day-to-day support while developing your expertise in Microsoft 365, Intune, identity, and cybersecurity.
This role is ideal for someone with service desk or 1st/2nd line experience who wants to grow their career in a modern, cloud-first environment rather than a traditional on‑prem setup.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide 2nd line IT support across the organisation
* Support user onboarding and offboarding, including device setup
* Manage Intune-enrolled devices (Windows, iOS, Android)
* Assist with Microsoft 365 administration, identity and access management
* Support security monitoring, patching, compliance, and incident response
* Contribute to continuous improvement and automation projects
* Strong understanding of IT fundamentals (Windows, networking, identity)
* Knowledge of Microsoft 365 and basic Intune concepts
* Good troubleshooting, communication, and customer service skills
* Understanding of core security principles (MFA, phishing, compliance)
* Proactive mindset with a strong desire to learn and develop
* Hands-on experience with Microsoft Intune
* Exposure to Office 365 administration (Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams)
* Knowledge of Microsoft Defender and/or Sentinel
* Understanding of Entra ID and Conditional Access
