ASE Recruitment are specialist recruiters in the social housing and social care sectors providing temporary staffing to work within a variety of 24 hour supported accommodation services and floating support services for Housing Associations and Charities across the Northwest, Midlands, and Derbyshire. We are currently recruiting a Tenancy Sustainment Officer to support young people living in supported accommodation who may be experiencing homelessness, trauma, mental health challenges or substance misuse. This is a safeguarding‑focused role that requires professional boundaries, resilience, and a strong commitment to keeping young people safe. Hours: 37.5 Mon to Fri Contract : Temp for 3 months Rate: £13.02p/h This role is full time 37.5 hours a week working to a rota covering early shifts and late shifts. About the role In this role, you will contribute directly to improving the lives of vulnerable young people by: Carrying out needs and risk assessments to identify the right support for each young person. Supporting young people to understand and sustain their tenancy, manage their responsibilities and develop independent living skills. Ensuring safe allocation of accommodation through appropriate checks, assessment of risk, and robust decision‑making. Monitoring property standards, health & safety compliance, and completing regular property inspections. Identifying tenancy concerns early (e.g., rent arrears, ASB, safeguarding changes) and taking action in line with policy. Working collaboratively with statutory agencies, social workers, schools, youth services and other safeguarding partners. Maintaining clear, accurate, confidential case records in accordance with GDPR and safeguarding requirements. Lone working as necessary, with adherence to risk management procedures and escalation routes. About You We are looking for someone who can demonstrate: Previous experience within a tenancy sustainment role or position within a supported housing environment Experience working with children or young people in a supported housing, youth work, social care or similar environment. Strong understanding of safeguarding legislation, thresholds, and reporting procedures. Knowledge of trauma‑informed practice and person‑centred support approaches. Experience completing risk assessments, support plans, and incident reports. Professional boundaries, emotional resilience, and the ability to respond confidently to challenging situations. Strong communication skills and the ability to build safe, trusting relationships with young people. Good IT skills and high‑quality written record‑keeping. This role requires an Enhanced DBS check with barred list clearance (Children).
