Emergency Department Assistant

To work as part of the multi‑disciplinary team in the Adult Emergency Department at RDH. The role involves portering tasks, transferring patients on trolleys and wheelchairs, managing stock levels of equipment, and maintaining a clean and safe environment.
Main duties of the job
* Assist with the movement of patients between the department and hospital areas.
* Maintain awareness of stock, linen and equipment within the department, ensuring availability at all times.
* Assist in emergency situations with equipment or blood product collection.
* Assist nursing staff with cleaning and tidiness of the department.
* Ensure all equipment is kept in good working and clean condition, reporting any issues.
* Assist with the day‑to‑day running of the department.
* Support food and drink rounds in the department.
