Senior Grid Delivery Manager, AWS (To be based in London, Dublin, Madrid or Frankfurt)

The AWS Infrastructure Energy Team (IET) is seeking a results‑orientated individual to join in the role of Grid Delivery Manager.
Key responsibilities
* Lead delivery of large‑scale critical HV/MV grid interconnection projects within EMEA under tight deadlines.
* Manage end‑to‑end programs from design to energization, ensuring technical compliance with substations, cables and overhead line standards.
* Collaborate with cross‑functional teams – design engineering, construction, planning, environmental, and real estate – to meet delivery timelines.
* Conduct stakeholder management and provide weekly reporting on key project risks and issues to senior management, directors and vice‑presidents.
* Drive the grid infrastructure delivery program, standardise processes, develop tools for execution and support financial budgeting.
Basic qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in engineering, project management, construction management or a similar technical focus.
* 5+ years of experience delivering HV/MV infrastructure projects, including power substations, from design to energization.
* Strong communication skills and ability to work with diverse teams.
* Experience building and cultivating relationships with internal and external stakeholders, with willingness to travel up to 20% of the time.
* Analytical experience in cost/benefit trade‑offs across a strategic portfolio, and understanding of how to transact business in multiple cultural contexts; experience managing international teams is a plus.
Preferred qualifications
* Experience working in data centers or critical infrastructure.
* Master’s degree (MBA/MS) and/or PMP certification preferred.
* Experience designing substations or other energy infrastructure.
* Experience working for utilities and with energy regulators.
* Ability to communicate in additional languages.
