At Premiere Kitchens, for over 30 years, we have specialised in designing, manufacturing and supplying thousands of high quality kitchens across the UK. Our site is based in Gloucestershire, employing local skilled people, many of whom have been with us for years!
We are looking for a hands-on Assembly Shift Leader to support the smooth and efficient operation of our assembly and subassembly areas. Working closely with the Assembly Shift Manager, you will help coordinate daily activities, maintain workflow and material flow, resolve operational issues, and ensure production targets are achieved. This is a practical leadership role that combines team support, problem-solving, and continuous improvement, with responsibility for stepping into operational tasks where needed to maintain performance and productivity.
Day to day you will:
* Lead, motivate and develop a high-performing production team.
* Drive a positive culture focused on safety, quality, productivity and continuous improvement.
* Coordinate daily production activities to ensure targets are achieved efficiently and on time.
* Monitor performance, provide coaching and support employee development and training.
* Ensure compliance with health, safety, quality and environmental standards.
* Identify and implement process improvements to reduce waste, increase efficiency and improve performance.
* Manage workflow, resources and equipment availability to maximise productivity.
* Analyse production performance and support operational decision-making.
* Work collaboratively with other departments to resolve issues and deliver customer requirements.
* Act as a role model for company values, professionalism and operational excellence.
What We’re Looking For:
* Previous experience in a production environment
* Previous experience in leading a team
* Actively promotes and enforces workplace health and safety standards
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Pro-active nature with a willingness to learn quickly and take on new challenges
* Able to perform under pressure
This role is full time, Monday to Friday - 37.5 hours per week. Shift patterns will vary, however mainly rotating weekly between 6am - 2pm and 2pm - 10pm.
We are offering a salary of £32,500 per annum (Late shifts will attract a 10% shift allowance on top of salary).
