Overview
Were looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join the Southern Water team based in either Kent or East/West Sussex. Location: Southern Water Offices, Chatham ME5 7QA or offices at Falmer, BN1 9PY - some remote working is available. Hours: Full time 40 hours per week; part-time or condensed hours will be considered. We do not offer certificates of sponsorship for this role. This position is part of a partnership between Southern Water and Kier to deliver their ambitions for AMP 8 Water cycle.
Responsibilities
* Manage commercial performance through effective team leadership, contract administration, and risk management.
* Ensure robust cost reporting and forecasting while maintaining excellent client relationships.
* Support junior team members and foster their professional development.
* Collaborate with the procurement team to implement effective procurement strategies.
* Maximise cash flow through diligent measurement, valuation, and financial control procedures.
Qualifications
* Relevant degree or equivalent in Quantity Surveying.
* Experience working with NEC forms of contract and current Construction Law.
* Excellent communication skills, able to build relationships with clients and colleagues.
* Experience mentoring junior team members and sharing expertise.
* Ability to thrive in collaborative environments while working independently.
