Maintenance Engineer – Mechanical Biased Glasgow Contract Working Hours: Dayshift: Fri-Sun 07:00-19:00; Nightshift: Fri-Sun 19:00-07:00 – 1 week of days and 1 week of nights About the Opportunity: Join a dynamic team and play a pivotal role in ensuring the delivery of efficient and effective maintenance, repair, problem-solving, and improvement of assets across our client's manufacturing site. As a Maintenance Engineer, you will collaborate closely with site personnel, implement maintenance programs, respond to plant breakdowns, and uphold high standards of health and safety compliance. Key Responsibilities: Ensure efficient and effective maintenance, repair, and improvement of assets on-site. Collaborate with site personnel to develop and deliver maintenance effectively, providing feedback on improvements. Implement and develop maintenance programs to enhance asset performance and utilization. Respond promptly and appropriately to plant breakdowns, identifying and repairing root causes to minimize downtime. Report plant maintenance issues via SAP to ensure the sharing of best practices. Prioritize health and safety compliance, maintaining high-quality standards in all work. About You: We are seeking an individual with: Strong interpersonal skills, capable of effective communication at all levels. The ability to make informed decisions and drive improvements using specialist knowledge. Initiative to push forward with ideas while offering guidance and support for existing approaches. Availability to work both dayshift and nightshift as specified. Qualifications and Skills: Time-served Mechanical Engineer with relevant qualifications. Demonstrable knowledge of Health and Safety legislation. Familiarity with environmental risk principles. Analytical skills to solve problems effectively.
