SOAS University of London is looking to appoint an experienced Internal Communications Manager to join the Communications Team, which is part of the Marketing, Student Recruitment and Admissions directorate. The Internal Communications Manager will work with the Head of Communications and the Internal Communications Officers, to devise and implement strategies to communicate with our staff and students. The post holder will manage and produce content for our internal communications channels including intranet, student and staff bulletins, internal emails, the Student App, and digital screens.
This role also requires supporting major projects taking place across our estate, learning and teaching portfolio and IT infrastructure with internal communication. The post holder will also gather insights from analytics and research to help identify the communications challenges that we need to respond to and improve the communications, listening and engagement the team delivers.
The role requires excellent interpersonal, oral and written communications skills, demonstrable experience of managing teams, and a strong understanding of best practice for digital communications. You will have experience working with content management systems, digital media and internal communications channels across a complex organisation.
You will be a strategic, proactive, and collaborative leader who is able to build effective relationships with colleagues at all levels, line manage the Internal Communications Officer(s), and provide sound, evidence-based communications advice to a range of senior stakeholders.
