We look after a wide range of gardens and commercial grounds across Essex and Suffolk, and the machinery that keeps our teams working needs to be in top condition. Were looking for a skilled mechanic to take ownership of that someone who knows their way around professional garden equipment and takes pride in keeping things running well.
This is a flexible role. Were open to part-time or full-time, and happy to have a conversation about what works. If youve got the skills and the right attitude, well shape the position around you.
The Role
Youll be responsible for the servicing, maintenance and repair of our machinery and equipment fleet, which includes:
* Mowers ride-on, pedestrian and robotic
* Grounds maintenance machinery
* Strimmers, blowers and hedge cutters
* Chainsaws and specialist cutting equipment
Day-to-day, that means routine servicing, diagnosing faults, carrying out repairs, and making sure everything leaving the yard is safe and ready to work. Youll also help keep the workshop organised and flag when parts or consumables need ordering.
What Were Looking For:
* Proven experience servicing and repairing garden or grounds care machinery
* Confident fault diagnosis you can work through a problem methodically
* Familiarity with both petrol and battery-powered equipment
* A tidy, organised approach to the workshop and your work
* Reliable, self-motivated and happy working with a small, friendly team
* Full UK driving licence desirable
A formal qualification in mechanical maintenance is useful, but hands-on experience counts for just as much.
