Our Energy Business Unit are delivering the backbone of tomorrow's energy grid. We're strengthening our engineering capability to deliver major overhead line (OHL) and transmission projects across the UK.
The Role:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Finance Analyst to join our fast-paced business unit within Morgan Sindall. In this role, you will support the Accountant with timely, accurate financial reporting and provide insightful data analysis to drive informed decision-making. Working closely with operational and commercial teams, you will gather and interpret key financial information, manage cash flow reporting, and act as the key account holder for overhead line workers and associated equipment. You will also assist the Project Commercial Team with compiling and submitting reporting data to the Central Finance Team, ensuring all deadlines and deliverables are met. This is a varied role with opportunities to broaden your finance experience while making a real impact on project success.
The Candidate:
* Previous experience in financial reporting or a similar finance role.
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to export, collate, and interpret financial data.
* Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
* A full UK driving licence is essential.
* Part-qualified accountant working towards a recognised accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, ACA).
* Experience with COINS financial software is desirable but not essential.

About our Energy business unit
We have extensive experience in upgrading and replacing energy networks, delivering asset management for major UK energy companies and network operators.
Our transmission and distribution services involve the upgrading and replacement of electricity assets both above and below ground. Within the electricity sector we install and maintain assets, including excavation, laying and jointing of cables, (fluid filled and XLPe), substations and overhead line, new build, repair and refurbishment services.
