Senior Rotating Equipment Engineer

Position Overview
This position will provide Rotating Equipment Engineering expertise to operating facilities, collaborating closely with other discipline engineers within regional and asset engineering teams to deliver efficient and effective solutions. The role is responsible for delivering expert support for rotating equipment, including maintenance, inspection, and turnaround, while proactively engaging with multidisciplinary teams and contractors to resolve technical challenges and drive pragmatic engineering solutions.
Key Responsibilities
* Champion the development and maturity of rotating equipment engineering, fostering the adoption of best practices and continuous improvement.
* Provide deep technical support and authoritative guidance for complex rotating equipment issues, such as failure investigations, performance optimisation, and lifecycle management.
* Lead initiatives to enhance the quality of engineering deliverables and ensure compliance with internal standards and applicable regulatory requirements.
* Ensure the integrity and reliability of rotating equipment through strong maintenance strategies, condition monitoring, and risk-based assessments.
* Collaborate with both offshore and onshore teams to address equipment challenges, support turnaround planning, and drive defect elimination.
* Work closely with production, maintenance, and project teams to align engineering priorities with business objectives.
* Support market engagement strategies, scope definition, and technical assurance related to contracts.
Qualifications & Experience
* Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
* Experience with engineering, maintenance, and operations of oil & gas processing facilities.
* Practical knowledge of engineering practices, industry codes, standards, and local regulations relevant to rotating equipment, with the ability to demonstrate their application.
* Proven ability to provide support for site operations on risks, queries, and activities to ensure safe, reliable, and compliant operations.
* Professional accreditation such as Chartered Engineer, or a significant level of demonstrable autonomy in the discipline.
* Capability to travel offshore within the UK as required.
* Experience in providing frontline engineering support for operating assets is desirable.
