Job Description:
We’re looking for a forward-thinking and proactive individual to join our Chartered Surveying Apprenticeship Programme and help grow our rural team based in Shrewsbury. This programme offers a chance to gain a bachelor’s degree through our trusted providers while working towards your APC (Assessment of Professional Competence) to become a Chartered Surveyor.
Over five years, you will split your time between studying and practical work. You’ll have 7.5 hours of study per week, with the rest of your time dedicated to real-world projects. In your third year, you will join our APC Training Academy aiming to qualify as a Chartered Surveyor by the end of the programme.
Our rural surveyors advise landowners and farmers on asset management, diversification, land use change, rural development, renewables, CPO, natural capital, biodiversity, and valuation of rural assets across the UK.
As an apprentice, you will assist with tasks such as:
* Managing rural estates
* Valuation advice and property valuations
* Sale, letting, and acquisition of farms and land parcels
* Providing professional consultancy on rural and agricultural property matters
* Preparing environmental scheme applications and natural capital projects
* Developing and maintaining client relationships
* Supporting team profitability
Building strong client relationships is vital, including attending meetings and preparing reports and communications.
What does it take to be successful?
We seek a recent school leaver with a positive attitude, good organisational and customer service skills. You must have GCSE Mathematics and English at Grade 4 (C) or above and a minimum of 96 UCAS tariff points.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a leading UK property consultancy, supporting your path towards RICS membership. The role includes experience in valuations, estate agency, professional work, landlord & tenant matters, estate management, renewables, planning, and lettings.
