About the role
As the Data Governance Analyst, Data Management Team, you'll drive and implement best-in-class information & data governance processes.
Your role will be pivotal in the evolution of HL into a truly data driven organisation that has a clear mission to 'help people save and invest with confidence'.
You will integrate the delivery of the company wide Data Governance activities and operational business, technology and Data Governance inputs to generate comprehensive discoverable Data Governance reporting for senior oversight purposes.
You will also own the production of the Data Governance agenda draft, documentation and communications material.
Equally important will be the maintenance of frequent stakeholder engagements across the business and key supporting teams e.g., risk & compliance.
What you'll be doing
1. Responsible for defining and collaborating on key components of the Data Governance Framework
2. Standard & Procedures, Data Stewardship, Data Ownership etc
3. Drive acceptance, adoption and implementation of the Data Governance Strategy and Frameworks with BAU functions and change teams
4. Contribute to the development of the Data Governance Strategy & Planning
5. Be an advocate in key data topic areas such as Data Quality, Data Management and Stewardship and Ownership
6. Build relationships with key stakeholders to understand their data landscape and their business priorities. Win stakeholders over by showing them “what's in it for them"
7. Support the growth of a network of data owners, stewards, custodians and stakeholders to support and facilitate improving data quality and good data practices
8. Build strong alliance with the Architecture practice and ensure we support each other in our journey
9. Review data management approach of key programs and initiatives, recommend improvement plans and escalate important concerns with stakeholders.
10. Articulate and recommend opportunities to move to a more sustainable data governance approach - Be an expert in the HL strategic tooling dedicated to Data Governance
About you
11. Ability to develop cooperative and constructive working relationships
12. Experience in data governance, data management and data quality
13. Experience of business and technology issues related to the management of enterprise information and data assets
14. Expert in translated complex to simple and data stroytelling through packs, papers and business engagement
15. Expert in being able to analyse and simplify multiple aspects of the business data processes and use of dedicated tooling
16. Knowledge of data related regulatory requirements and emerging trends
17. Awareness and understanding of ISO 9000, DAMA & DCAM or equivalent
18. Knowledge of Data Ownership, Governance and Enterprise oversight of data
Interview process
This will be a two stage interview process.
Working Schedule
Standard working schedule, 37.5 hours a week, Monday to Friday.
