Your Role
Service Line: Learning Disability & ASD Residential
Position: Specialist Occupational Therapist (Band 6 Equivalent)
Location: Long Eaton Day Services
Salary: Up to £16,470 (£41,175 pro rata per annum), dependent on experience
Hours: 16 hours, part-time
Contract: Permanent
Long Eaton Day Services supports individuals aged 16 and above with learning disabilities, complex health needs, physical disabilities, and autism. Our focus is on achieving meaningful outcomes through tailored activities developed with input from professionals, families, and service users.
Our multidisciplinary team includes occupational therapists, physiotherapists, and speech and language therapists, working together to maximize each individual's potential. We offer flexible days from 8am to 8pm, Monday to Friday, to accommodate service users and their families.
As an Occupational Therapist, your responsibilities include conducting assessments, developing and implementing treatment plans, and managing clinical care for service users within the service, within a multidisciplinary framework.
Occupational Therapy Directorate
Led by our occupational therapy directors, we support over 150 OTs and 300 OT support staff, fostering a collaborative environment with opportunities for involvement in service development and specialist interest groups.
Each service line has a clinical lead occupational therapist to guide evidence-based practice and occupational therapy pathways. We encourage our OT team members to contribute to service model development, supported by our clinical leads.
Preceptorship & Induction
We recognize the impact of the pandemic on training experiences and offer a 12-month occupational therapy preceptorship to support and develop core skills.
