Early Years Practitioner
Overview
Pennywell Early Learning and Childcare Centre, part of the MacMillan Hub, opened in August 2024. The centre offers high‑quality learning experiences for children and families. We are recruiting experienced Early Years Practitioners for a permanent position.
Salary: £30,188 – £34,452 (pro‑rata for sessional). Hours: 36 h per week, 39 weeks sessional.
Responsibilities
* Enhance children’s learning and development, supporting them to lead their own learning.
* Create meaningful experiences and spaces with children in the new setting.
* Work shift patterns within the setting, between 07.45 hrs and 18.00 hrs, Monday‑Friday, with some late shifts on rotation each month.
Qualifications
* SVQ Social Services (Children and Young People) SCQF Level 7
* HNC Childhood Practice
Additional Requirements
This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Preferred candidates must join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. If an individual has spent a continuous period of three months or more abroad in the last five years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required.
