Apprentice Vehicle Technician - Job Description
Job Summary
The engineering workshops provides practical support to the vehicle engineering team. This would involve prototype build, vehicle development, product change introduction, for ICE and EV vehicles.
Role Responsibilities, Experience, Selection Criteria
To provide support to the project team and follow direction from the workshop supervisor. Previous mechanical knowledge or interest of vehicle/engineering systems would be desirable.
Apprentice Vehicle Technician Responsibilities
To be fully conversant with the job requirements and be able to take clear written and verbal instruction. To conduct tasks as effectively as possible and work as part of a team. Must be outgoing with a high drive to achieve. Must be able to travel and attend the designated college one day per week.
Apprenticeship
Candidate will be expected to:
1. meet the Engineering Manufacturing Technician Apprenticeship entry criteria including GCSEs A*-C/4-9
2. commit to full participation in the apprenticeship, fully funded by Lotus, who will provide you sufficient time for off the job learning, in accordance with apprenticeship rules.
Essential Criteria
3. Knowledge of Microsoft office suite
4. Problem solving
5. Comfortable working under pressure
6. Methodical approach to solutions
7. Demonstrate basic understanding of business impact.
8. Time management to suit business needs
9. Full UK-EU or International driving licence
10. Current passport
11. Must be willing to travel internationally if required.
Desirable Criteria
12. Experience of automotive or manufacturing environment.
13. Previous engineering experience
14. Motor vehicle apprenticeship or experience
