In this role, the successful candidate will work as part of a team providing first-level customer support for customers (mainly accounting practices) using our CCH Personal Tax and CCH Corporation tax software. Support is provided via phone, Support Portal, or web chat.
The ideal candidate will be a confident, determined self-starter with excellent problem-solving and communication skills. We value quick learners who enjoy resolving challenging situations. You will have the flexibility to work in an environment that encourages initiative and decision-making authority. You will learn and support multiple software products, requiring specific application and IT skills, along with a commitment to excellent customer service, initiative, and teamwork. Support from colleagues across the team will ensure you are well-supported in learning the products and systems.
Responsibilities
* Provide efficient and effective software support with quick response times.
* Resolve moderately complex product-related queries via telephone, customer community, and remote access.
* Analyze product questions or reproduce issues and develop appropriate solutions based on supported applications.
* Liaise with internal teams to facilitate resolutions.
* Develop understanding of key business drivers, products, company processes, and customer needs.
Skills & Competencies
* Knowledge of Tax and Accounting, or a recent degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
* Strong problem-solving skills.
* Ability to learn new software quickly.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Adaptability to new technologies.
* Commitment to outstanding customer service.
* Good teamwork ethic.
* Tax industry experience or certifications are desirable.
