A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a senior and highly experienced Social Worker to deliver Social Work education and leadership. The Social Work Adults Development Lead position offers a great opportunity for a Social Worker whose core values are to place adults at the centre of all learning and ensure approaches to workforce development and wellbeing are compassionate and high quality.

Responsibilities
* Lead on developing NHS Social Work practices and the professional identity of social workers across the Trust, representing the Trust at regional meetings and ensuring learning and opportunities are conveyed and utilised “in Trust”.
* Provide a highly visible educational and leadership role for all Social Work staff across all directorates, with a focus on adult services; work with clinical and operational leaders to ensure compliance with professional standards and high-quality integrated care.
* Emphasise social work student placements, practice education of student social workers, and provide support and supervision to Experienced Social Workers.
* Coordinate and supervise Newly Qualified Social Workers undertaking the Assessed and Supported Year in Employment (ASYE) and support CPD programmes and the development of Social Work Apprenticeship.
* Support delivery of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) and related learning opportunities.
* Contribute to departmental learning through monthly CPD and Trust Learning Half Days.
Requirements
* Registered Social Worker with substantial senior experience and a track record of leadership, education, and workforce development in social care.
* Experience in supervising social workers, coordinating ASYE, student placements, and CPD delivery.
* Ability to work across multiple directorates and collaborate with clinical and operational leaders to raise care quality.
* Commitment to trauma-informed care and to inclusive, learning-oriented culture.
