Overview
Tax Senior - UKI Private Client Services role at EY. The Private Tax team serves entrepreneurial, owner-managed, PE-backed and AIM-listed businesses, their shareholders, family offices, ultra-high net worth individuals, private equity and high-profile professional partnerships. EY aims to be trusted advisers delivering a broad range of tax advisory services including tax efficient value extraction and value creation, reorganisations, international tax advisory, transactions and ongoing maintenance of client tax structures.
The opportunity is based in London and provides a chance to work with existing clients, build a network, and contribute to EY’s growth in the Private Tax team.
Responsibilities
* Build and maintain relationships with clients
* Proactive business development to win new work
* Manage the delivery of technically complex and demanding consulting projects with technical excellence and a practical, business-driven approach
* Provide development support to junior team members through supervision, coaching and mentoring
* Contribute to people initiatives, including retaining and training the team
Skills and Attributes for Success

* Strong tax technical skills
* Strong client relationship management with ability to deliver quality outputs
* Negotiation skills, able to sustain opinions and handle challenges
* Business development skills to identify and convert opportunities
* Effective time management and ability to work under deadlines
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Experience advising a range of individuals or companies (e.g., AIM-listed, PE-backed, Family-owned, OMB)
Qualifications
* ACA / CTA / Tax Inspectors with full Technical Training or equivalent qualification (or breadth of knowledge to Tax specialist level)
* Strong tax technical skills
* Business development skills to identify and convert opportunities
* Experience coaching and developing junior staff
