Packing Associate
Location: Dartford
Shifts: Monday to Thursday 08:15 - 17:00, Friday 08:15 - 15:00
Pay Rate: £13.46 (3 month Temp, with the possibility of extension)
We are looking for a Packing Associate to support the day-to-day warehouse and logistics operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for picking, packing, loading shipments, managing goods in and out, maintaining stock accuracy, and assisting the Warehouse & Logistics Manager with general warehouse activities.
Key Responsibilities
1. Process customer orders accurately and efficiently.
2. Pick, pack, label, and prepare shipments for dispatch.
3. Load and unload deliveries safely.
4. Manage goods-in and goods-out activities.
5. Maintain warehouse filing and documentation systems.
6. Organise and maintain finished product and component storage areas.
7. Ensure all materials are stored correctly and safely.
8. Carry out internal movement and relocation of finished products.
9. Assist with stock counts and inventory checks.
10. Operate Counterbalance and Reach Forklift Trucks safely and effectively.
11. Generate shipping documentation, including invoices and Certificates of Origin (CoO).
12. Conduct GTC screening checks for visitors, customers, and orders.
13. Perform routine forklift maintenance checks.
14. Support other areas of the department as required.
15. Maintain high standards of health, safety, and housekeeping at all times.
Skills & Experience
Essential
16. Previous warehouse or logistics experience.
17. Basic computer literacy.
18. Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
19. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
20. Understanding of health and safety procedures.
Desirable
21. Basic GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) knowledge.
22. Experience operating Counterbalance and Reach Forklift Trucks.
23. Experience with shipping documentation and inventory control.
