This role is responsible for understanding the organization’s workstation products and industry applications, engaging with key clients, and designing customized solutions while guiding team members on technical specifications that deliver the desired outcomes clients require. The role conducts market research, identifies new opportunities, and drives new business development while maximizing existing customer loyalty. It stays compliant with regulations, serves as a trusted advisor on HP’s Advanced Compute Solutions portfolio internally and externally, fully engages clients for feedback, provides specialist responses for all sales‑related queries from the account team, and can be called upon to support and resolve client issues to drive sales and client satisfaction.
Responsibilities
* Demonstrates deep understanding of the organization’s workstation products and services, as well as industry applications, to effectively position offerings and articulate their value to potential clients. Must stay current on all advances specific to the HP ACS portfolio and be able to articulate the benefits and configuration options.
* Acts as a trusted advisor both internally and externally on workstation configurations, demonstrates the ability to ask probing questions, understand client needs, and present optimized solutions for Advanced Compute Solutions.
* Engages with key stakeholders within client organizations, including executives and decision‑makers, to build relationships and ensure satisfaction with the organization’s workstation offerings.
* Engages with clients to design customized workstation solutions for their unique business needs in collaboration with the client’s technical experts and engineers, including traveling to customer locations and understanding their working environment.
* Utilizes technical expertise to identify new opportunities and enhance existing ones, thereby boosting the sales pipeline and driving pursuit of workstation deals.
* Conducts in‑depth market research to identify trends and emerging opportunities in workstation markets, and provides insights to internal teams, contributing to the development of sales strategies for the district.
* Concentrates on growing new workstation business and supports all existing business for accounts in the district. Acts as subject matter expert for creating configurations using relevant tools such as One Config to ensure pricing and builds remain accurate and relevant.
* Gathers and relays feedback from clients to internal teams to help refine existing workstation offerings and guide the development of new products or features.
* Stays informed about industry‑specific regulations and compliance requirements that may impact workstation sales activities, ensuring all engagements remain compliant.
* Acts as point of contact for resolving client workstation issues and concerns, working closely with customer support or service teams to ensure prompt and effective resolution.
Education & Experience Recommended
* Four‑year or graduate degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline, or commensurate work experience or demonstrable competence.
* Typically 5–8 years of work experience, preferably in technical selling, consultative selling, account management, or a related field with exposure to workstation or enterprise computing markets.
